This is a historical document. The PDF below describes CNA v0.1.0-alpha.1 (commit 1bb2145d, 20 August 2026). It is not maintained and it does not describe the current snapshot, 009d40f5: among other things its renderer inventory (50 identities), its C API version (ABI 0.7.0) and its lists of known limitations are out of date.

The CNA Bible was a book-length technical manual for CNA. Its online editions (bible.libcna.com and book.libcna.com) are being retired. This site keeps the last sealed PDF for reference only.

The book's technical content was re-checked against snapshot 009d40f5, corrected where CNA had changed, and absorbed into the pages of this site. Use these instead of the PDF:

  • Known Issues — the current bugs, functional gaps, platform limitations and verification gaps; defects the book recorded that have since been fixed are not listed.
